George W. Maurer, 83, Pine Bluff, Ark., a native of Cedar Valley, died at Veterans hospital, Little Rock, Ark. Feb. 12. Burial was at Pine Bluff.

The son of WIlliam and Margaret Dadt Maurer, he was born at Cedar Valley July 7, 1892. He was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by a son, Lloyd, Pine Bluff; 2 grandchildren, Carol and George Wayne Maurer; a brother, Guy G. Maurer, Tipton, and several nieces and nephews.
