Funeral services for Alva A. Coiner, 65, Brainerd, Minn., were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Feb. 7 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert Coiner, Merlyn Gronewold, Jerome Yerlich, Harold Goldsmith, James Merson, William Cahoon and Herbert Ford, Lila Barkalow was vocalist and Mrs. Ken Gould organist.

Mr. Coiner died at St. Joseph's hospital, Brainerd, Feb. 3, following an extended illness.

The son of Perry A. and Orilla Fraze Coiner, he was born at Columbus Junction, Feb. 22, 1910, and was educated in the rural schools of Muscatine and Cedar county. He was married to Anna G. Brinkman at Wapello, Oct. 9, 1937.

He lived in Rochester from 1938 to 1968, operating the Rochester Garage. He moved to Brainerd, Minn., in 1968.

He is survived by his wife, Brainerd; 2 daughters, Mrs. Merlyn (Suzie) Gronewold and Mrs. Jerome (Annette Dawn) Yerlich, both of Puposky, Minn.; 2 sons, Robert, Tipton and William, Muscatine, 11 grandchildren and a brother, Earl, Tipton.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
