Funeral services for Frank Jeffries, 77, were held at West Branch Jan. 21 with the Rev. Max Paige officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery. Mr. Jeffries died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Jan. 19, following a month's illness.

The son of Arnold and Omeira Dunbar Jeffries, he was born at Columbia, Ky. April 2, 1898. He was married to Grace Brick at Iowa City Dec. 6, 1944. Mr. Jeffries operated a gas station in West Branch for many years.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rita) Dean, Cedar Rapids; a grandson and a brother, Beckham, Vista, Calif. He was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
