Final rites for Mrs. Glen (Ferne C.) Agne, 87, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home, Tipton, Jan. 27 with the Rev. Dale Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Arnold Swan was organist.

Pallbearers were Richard Jedlicka, Carl Kern, Kenneth Schroeder, Monte Gaul, Phillip Hambright and Alfred Worrell. Mr. and Mrs. William Ziba and Mr. and Mrs. John Lahmon were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Agne died at Cedar Manor, Jan. 24, following an extended illness.

The daughter of J. Gordon and Harriet Little Carl, she was born at Stanwood, Oct. 23, 1888 and graduated from Tipton high school in 1907 after earlier attending the Stanwood schools. She also attended a business college in Waterloo.

She was married to Glen L. Agne at Marion Nov. 22, 1921. A Tipton area resident since 1900 and a resident of Tipton since 1947, she was a housewife and also clerked in Tipton stores.

She was a charter member of D Y PEO chapter, the King's Daughters and the American Legion Auxiliary, of which she was a Gold Star Mother. She was a member of First United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Carl, Tipton and Bill, Glendale, Ariz., 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother and a son, Gordon, who was killed in action during World War II.
