Funeral services for Herbert H. Thede, 73, were held at the Gill Memorial home, Wilton, Jan. 10 with the Rev. G. W. Ukena officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery.

Mr. Thede died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Jan. 8, following a long illness.

The son of Herman P. and Anna (Kuehl) Thede, he was born in Farmington township July 28, 1902 and spent his life in the Wilton area. He was married to Gladys A. Nangle in Davenport June 1, 1929. He was an auto mechanic before retiring in 1961.

He is survived by his wife and several cousins. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
