Funeral services for William Morden, 90, were held at Trinity Lutheran church Jan. 10 with the Rev. O. J. Jorgenson officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mark, John and Jerry Morden, George and Monte Hawley and John P. Donohoe. Mrs. Duane Hannah was organist and Mrs. Dorothy Regennitter and Bernice Rekemeyer were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Morden died at the home of his daughter Jan.7.

The son of George and Eliza Elgie Morden, he was born at Mechanicsville July 27, 1885 and attended the Mechanicsville and Tipton schools. He was married to Osceola Griffis at Muscatine Oct. 6, 1909.

A laborer, he was last employed by the City of Tipton. He had lived in Tipton for 80 years and was a former member of the Tipton Fire Department. He served in the Iowa National Guard from 1904 to 1907.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

He is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Lucile Mowry and Louise Morden, Tipton; Mrs. Marjorie Kogut, Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. Jesse (Jane) Hawley, Alburnett; 3 sons, Robert, Van Nuys, Calif., Roger, Tipton and George, Wheatland, 22 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, 2 sons, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
