Last rites for Louis C. Gill, Wilton funeral director, were held at the United Presbyterian church in Wilton Dec. 27 with the Rev. G. W. Ukena officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery.

Mr. Gill died at Muscatine General hospital Dec. 22, following a heart attack.

Born in Cedar county near Wilton June 19, 1913, he was a lifelong resident of the Wilton area, with the exception of 15 years spent in the army during World War II. He also taught in the Stockton and South Union schools from 1932 to 1936.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian church and was a ruling elder. He was past master and secretary of Wilton Lodge AF&AM. He was a past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Shriner. He was a member of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his mother, a brother, Fred B. Gill, Wilton; 3 sisters, Mrs. James (Cloe) Walton, Mrs. Howard (Hallie) Lenker, both of Wilton and Mrs. Elvin (Lucille) Heston, West Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
