Funeral services for Ernest L. Wagner, 69, will be held at the Sheets and Son Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. today, Dec. 18, with the Rev. Dale Marshall officiating.

Pallbearers are Joe DeWulf, Lloyd Kallenberger, Tom Brennan, Thomas Brick and Don Armstrong, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. James Brennan and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kunde are in charge of flowers. Mrs. Arnold Swan is organist.

Mr. Wagner died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Dec. 15 following a long illness.

The son of Wesley and Margaret Gaines Wagner, he was born at Waldeck, Minn. March 16, 1906 and was married to Bertha LaRue at Red Oak Jan. 26, 1927. A farmer, he lived in the Tipton area most of his life, moving to Tipton on retiring.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Meixner, a son, Kenneth, Tipton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Leona Thurston and Mrs. Henry (Eunice) Wiskus, both of Tipton; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 9 brothers.
