Funeral services for Bernhard (Ben) Schroeder, 73, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home, Dec. 17 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Edward Achey, Keith Whitlatch, Louie Wagner, Harold Shotwell, Ralph Zousel and Clifford Krutsinger.

Mr. Schroeder died at his home in Tipton, Dec. 14.

The son of Robert and Hannah Fentzlaff Schroeder, he was born at Waterloo, Wis., Feb. 13, 1902. He attended the Waterloo, Wis. schools.

He was married to Mildred Hildebrand, who preceded him in death. He was married to Dorothy A. Yeries, March 3, 1932, at Madison, Wis.

A retired blacksmith, he had lived in the West Branch area for several years before coming to Tipton 6 years ago.

He is survived by his wife. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and a grandson.
