Funeral services for Jon Lucas Friis, 9-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Friis, were held at West Branch Nov. 28 with the Rev. Ervin Hesterberg officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

The infant died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Nov. 25, following a sudden illness.

The son of Herbert and Karen Forrest Friis, he was born at Iowa City Feb. 18, 1975. He is survived by his parents, 3 brothers, James, Jason and Joseph; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marius Friis, West Branch and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Forrest, Cedar Rapids.
