Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth I. Miller, 81, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Aug. 25 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton cemetery.

Pallbearers were Don L. Nelson, Ed Liercke, Francis Lang, Harlan Dugger, Wilmar Williams and H. P. Walters.

Mrs. Miller died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Aug. 23, following a short illness.

The daughter of Walter W. and Mary L. Hannah Nelson, she was born at Equality, Ill., July 26, 1894 and was educated in the rural Cedar county schools. She was married to Clarence H. Miller at Galveston, Ill. in 1929.

She had lived in Tipton for 50 years.

Mrs. Miller is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Angelo (Clara) Gasparino, New York, N.Y.; Mrs. J. Fain (Evelyn) Crockett, Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Walter E. Walton, Lombard, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.
