Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie M. Glaser, 83, Durant, were held at the Frick Funeral home, Durant, July 21 with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in Durant cemetery.

Pallbearers were Elmer and Rollo Makoben, Randy Schnack, Robert Baker, John Wilson and Barton Smithey. Mrs. Viva Cook was organist.

Mrs. Glaser died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, July 17, following an extended illness.

The daughter of William and Mary Horst Peterson, she was born in Durant April 28, 1892 and was married to Jens Glaser in Davenport Dec. 10, 1913.

She was a lifelong resident of the Durant area, attending the Durant schools. The Glasers farmed near Durant until 1942 when they retired and moved to Durant. She was a member of the Durant Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a son, Arnold, Cedar Rapids; 2 daughters, Mrs. Allan (Velma) Untiedt, Davenport and Mrs. Earl (Eleanor) Lillienthal, New Liberty; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968, a sister and 3 brothers.
