Funeral services were held for Louis J. Lamp, 62, Cedar Valley at the Sheets and Son Funeral home June 23 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ray E. Allison, Harry Hafner, S. Kay Sulzberger, David Boland, Tim Sulzberger and Vernon Lamp.

Mr. Lamp died June 19 at Oakdale hospital, Iowa City after an extended illness.

The son of Julius A. and Carrie L. Dolan Lamp he was born March 24, 1913 at Odebolt. He married Jean M. Kapfer in 1931 at Iowa City. He was educated in the rural Cedar county and Springdale schools. He was a seaman chef and resided in San Pedro, Calif. for 20 years and had lived in Cedar Valley the past 10 years.

Survivors include his father, J. A. Lamp, Cedar Valley; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ray (Kay) Allison, Muscatine; Mrs. Harry (LuJean) Hafner, and Mrs. Kay (Sue) Sulzberger, both of Letts; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lucille Higginbotham, McAllen, Texas and Mrs. Robert (Luella) Snider, San Juan, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother and a granddaughter.
