June 19, 1975 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Hines, 82, Tipton, were held at Sheets and Son Funeral Home at 1:30 P.M. June 16, with the Rev. Dale Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul Reuter, Everett Miller, Phillip Hargrave, Otho Curtis, Carl Frederick and Douglas Emrich.

Mrs. Hines died at the Marengo Memorial hospital, June 13, following an extended illness.

The daughter of George W. Carlisle and Margaret J. Peden, she was born Aug. 2, 1892 near Tipton. She attended the rural Cedar county and Tipton schools. She married Clarence G. Hines, Nov. 26, 1912 at Cresco. She was a practical nurse and was a lifetime Tipton area resident. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Tipton Lodge, West Liberty Rebekah Lodge and the Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence, Marion; 2 daughters, Mrs. William (Wauneta) Hysell, Pascagoula, Miss.; Mrs. Carl (Wandalene) Stout, Cedar Rapids; a son, Haven, Marion; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
