Funeral services for Doris M. Parr, 63, were held at the Springdale United Methodist church, May 20, with the Rev. Max E. Paige officiating. Burial was in the Springdale cemetery.

Miss Parr was found dead in her home Sunday afternoon by a neighbor who called on her. She apparently died of a heart attack while seated on a couch in her home.

Born Dec. 8, 1911 in Saskatchewan, Canada, she lived most of her life in the Springdale area. She was a correspondent for The Conservative for more than 20 years.

She is survived by an aunt and several cousins. Her parents preceded her in death.
