Last rites for David W. Henderson, 70, were held at the Red Oak Presbyterian church, May 19, with the Rev. Michael Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Red Oak cemetery.

Pallbearers were Herbert and John Tholen, Lee Meyers, John Hipple, Burt Thumm and Cecil Mathias. Mrs. Donald Hipple was vocalist and Mrs. Max Phelps was organist. Mr. and Mrs. Norman King and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hipple were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Henderson died at University hospitals, Iowa City, May 16, following an extended illness.

The son of William and Sophia Shultz Henderson, he was born near Tipton, Oct. 22, 1904 and spent his life on the same farm. He was educated in the rural Cedar county schools and was married to Edna A. Ricklefs at Hartford S.D., March 31, 1942.

He was a member of the Red Oak Presbyterian church and the Modern Woodmen.

He is survived by his wife, a sister, Dorothy Henderson, Tipton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son and a sister.
