Graveside rites for Mrs. Iva M. Kearns, 76, were held at Anamosa May 12. Mrs. Kearns died at Sacramento, Calif. May 7.

The daughter of Fredric S. and Joanna Bennett Miller, she was born at Point Pleasant, W.V. Oct. 11, 1898. The family moved to Tipton when she was 12.

She was employed at Kuhn's Variety store in Tipton for a number of years, later going to Akron, Ohio where she worked in a China shop. She was married to James M. Kearns at Akron June 30, 1926.

She is survived by 2 children, James M. Kearns, Jr., Fort Dodge and Darlene M. Kearns, Sacramento, Calif.; 2 grandsons, Scott and Greg Kearns, Fort Dodge and 2 brothers, Golden Miller, Mt. Vernon and Russell Miller, Buchanan.
