Funeral services for Robert Lacock, 92, a resident of Tipton for a half century, were held at the Dye Funeral home May 2, with the Rev. Dale Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Vernon cemetery.

Pallbearers were Marvin Lacock, Hermann Onken, Don Welty, Glen Mosher, Austin Armstrong and Robert Ohrt. Mrs. Arnold Swan was organist.

Mr. Lacock died at the Clarence nursing home April 30.

The son of Job and Christina Stinger Lacock, he was born at Mt. Vernon, Jan. 23, 1883 and graduated from Springville high school. He was married to Flora Travis at Mt. Vernon, June 1, 1910.

He worked for the telephone company at Springville and operated service stations and a fuel oil truck at Tipton until he retired. He lived in Mt. Vernon and Springdale until he came to Tipton in 1920.

He was a member of the Masonic lodge and attended the United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Mary) Wilkins, Modesto, Calif., 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and a sister.
