Funeral services for Jesse E. Hoffman, 71, Tipton, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home April 12, with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in Shawver cemetery, Cedar Bluff.

Pallbearers were Ed and Jim Liercke, Wilmar Williams, Harry Dodds, Ivan Ireland and Jay Lerch.

Mr. Hoffman died at his home in Tipton, April 9.

The son of J. Walter and Eliza C. Blaylock Hoffman, he was born near Longtown, Mo. Feb. 20, 1904 and was educated in the rural schools of Perry county, Mo.

A resident of the Tipton area for 40 years, he had farmed, tiled and was a gravedigger.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hazel Legg, Williamstown, Mo.
