Funeral services for Mrs. Ray J. (Mavis) Boyd, 50, Grenada Hills, Calif., a former resident of West Branch, were held in Newhall, Calif., April 15.

Mrs. Boyd died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, April 12 after a short illness. She had been visiting a cousin, Herman Paulsen, West Branch.

The daughter of Irving and Mary Paulsen Jensen, she was born at West Branch, May 26, 1924. She married Ray J. Boyd in Alhambra, Calif., April 4, 1946. She was a member of the North Hollywood Assembly church, North Hollywood, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, 3 sons, Dennis, Daniel and Dudley, and a daughter, Darlene, all of Grenada Hills and her mother, Mrs. Mary Hyde, Alhambra, Calif.
