Funeral services for Magnus Sondergard, 73, were held at West Branch, April 5, with the Rev. Ervin Hesterberg officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Sondergard died at his home in West Branch following a heart attack April 3.

The son of Lars and Kristina Jensen Sondergard, he was born in Denmark Nov. 21, 1901, and was married to Gladys Jensen in Muscatine county Nov. 16, 1926.

He farmed in the West Branch area until retiring in 1969.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Verlee) Hunter, Anchorage, Alaska and Mrs. Gary (Anita) Meeks, Miami, Okla., and 4 grandchildren.
