Graveside services for Mrs. J. Douglas (Anna) Patterson, Rock Island, Ill., a former Tipton resident, were held at the Masonic cemetery Feb. 26. Mrs. Patterson died in the Davenport Lutheran home Feb. 22.

The daughter of Carl A. and Clare Peterson Lundeen, she was born at Tabor and graduated from the Tabor schools. She attended Tabor college and Iowa State Teacher's college. She taught rural school near Tabor prior to her marriage to J. Douglas Patterson in Tabor June 21, 1905.

They lived in Tipton from 1905 until the death of her husband Oct. 1, 1933, when she moved to Rock Island, Ill. Her husband worked in a shoe store in Tipton. The Pattersons were active in the Presbyterian church and she helped to organize the first Parent-Teachers association in Tipton.

Mrs. Patterson was active in church and civic affairs in Rock Island and she was Rock Island food conservation chairman during World War II.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Donald W. (Louise) Schrepel, Moline, Ill., and 2 sons, Morris L. Rochert, Minn., and Carl D., Cedar Rapids and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 2 sisters and her husband. Memorial may be made to the Broadway Presbyterian church, Rock Island.
