Last rites for Mrs. Dan (Bessie) McGee, 85, Stanwood, were held at St. Mary's church, Mechanicsville, Feb. 28, with the Rev. P. J. Casey officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond and Harold Fisher, Terry Ahrens, John Moffit and Curtis and David Long. The Horner funeral home was in charge.

Mrs. McGee died at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, Feb. 25.

The daughter of William F. and Armenta Bortz Wiggins, she was born at Downey, April 8, 1889 and was married to Daniel J. McGee at Wilton, Jan. 15, 1908. She lived in Cedar county most of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's church, Mechanicsville.

She is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Mrs. Bernice Fisher, Stanwood; Mrs. Charlie Corle, Wilton, and Mrs. Charles Long, Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mae Blatz, Lisbon and a brother, Earl Wiggins, West Liberty; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
