Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Piatt Brady, 86, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Dec. 27 with the Rev. Fred Vantatenhove officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pall bearers were W. A. Hobstetter, Keith Fields, Carl Frederick, L. E. Aker, A. E. Rumble and Robert Sheets.

Mrs. Brady died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Dec. 24 following a brief illness.

The daughter of Harmon and Lydia Lyle Piatt, she was born at Tipton, Oct. 1, 1888 and was graduated from Tipton high school in 1908. She was married to Dr. Thomas B. Brady in Chicago Nov. 9, 1917.

A former Dexter and Clinton resident she had lived in Tipton since 1970. She was a member of United Church of Christ, Tipton.

She is survived by a sister, Ruth L. Piatt, Tipton, a nephew and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and 2 brothers.
