Funeral services for Mrs. Lola Selina Stiff, 87, were held at the Rochester Methodist church Nov. 29 with the Rev. Donald Kehrli officiating. Burial was in the Rochester cemetery.

Pallbearers were Steve O., Bill and Donald Stiff, Rodney Levsen, Lester Linn and Harry Yerington. Mrs. Donald Stiff was organist.

Mrs. Stiff died at the Americana Nursing home, Davenport, Nov. 25, following an extended illness.

The daughter of James E. and Margaret E. Harris Madin, she was born at Pleasant Valley July 9, 1887 and was educated in the rural Scott county schools and was married to Otto C. Stiff at Davenport Dec. 30, 1908. He preceded her in death.

She lived at Bennett from 1946 to 1967, moving to Pleasant Valley 7 years ago. She was a former member of the Bennett Methodist church and was a member of the Rochester Methodist church and Delta Alpha.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Bess) Levsen, Davenport; 2 sons, E. E. (Steve) Stiff, Venice, Florida; Ivan H. Stiff, Pleasant Valley; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 sisters and a brother.
