Funeral services for Helen Roe, 68, former West Branch resident, were held at Keokuk Nov. 30 with graveside services at the West Branch cemetery with the Rev. Max E. Paige officiating.

Miss Roe died at a Keokuk nursing home Nov. 27.

The daughter of Helton and Emma Roe, she was born in Oasis, Nov. 9, 1906 and had lived in Keokuk for 20 years, having taught in the schools there for 2 years prior to her retirement. She had previously taught in Vinton and Colorado.

She was a member of the Methodist church and a 50-year member of Juanita Chapter 274 of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sara Adolphson, West Branch. She was preceded in death by a half-sister.
