5 December 1974 - The Tipton Conservative

Last rites for Forrest Harold Ford, 80, were held at the Dye Funeral home Dec. 3 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Elmer Kunde, L. Dean Post, Howard Lausen, Rollie Wright, Robert Reeve and Edwin Blake. Mr. and Mrs. Bernhardt Stuehm were in charge of flowers. The flag was presented at the grave by the American Legion.

Mr. Ford died at his home 5 miles southeast of Tipton, Dec. 1.

The son of Charles B. and Theda Maxwell Ford, he was born near Tipton Feb. 12, 1894. He was a graduate of Tipton high school and attended Iowa State University.

He was married to Linda Belle Moss at the Methodist church in Rock Island, Ill. Feb. 9, 1924. A lifetime resident of the Tipton area, he was a retired farmer.

Mr. Ford was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of First Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Wallace and Ronald, Tipton and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
