Funeral services for Mrs. Mary A. Hruby, 89, former resident of the West Branch-Solon area, were held at Solon Dec. 4. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery in Iowa City.

Born Feb. 21, 1885, in West Branch, Mrs. Hruby lived in the West Branch-Solon area for many years and had lived in Cedar Rapids for 9 years.

She was a member of St. Mary's church and the Altar and Rosary society at Solon.

Her first husband, Frank Cihla, died in 1937, and her second husband, Albert Hruby, died in 1962.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Elizaberh Murphy and Mrs. Rose Skriber, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Blanche Stout, West Branch; 3 sons, Joseph and John, Cedar Rapids, and Kenneth, Shellsburg; 24 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
