Funeral services for LeRoy Franklin LaRue, 70, Oxford Mills, former Tipton resident, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Nov. 18 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Pee Dee cemetery, near Springdale.

Pallbearers were Bob Coker, Johnnie Hansen, Art Eiler, Louis Bizek, Dick Ketelsen and Ray Benischek. Mrs. Arnold Swan was organist.

Mr. LaRue apparently died of a heart attack while driving his car near Olin, Nov. 15.

The son of Chester W. and Edna M. Yerington LaRue, he was born near Rochester Jan. 1, 1904 and was educated in the rural schools. A farmer, he lived in the Tipton area until 11 months ago, when he moved to Oxford Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; 5 sisters, Mrs. Verna Slach, Solon; Mrs. Ernest (Bertha) Wagner, Tipton; Mrs. Marie Wagner, Stanwood; Mrs. Floyd (Doris) Jacobs, Rock Island, Ill.; and Mrs. Lee (Iona) Lane, Muscatine; a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Edna Lou) Fultz, Muscatine, 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Lon, Tipton; Vearl, Bull Head City, Ariz. and Chester, Rock Island, Ill.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters.
