Last rites for Mrs. Gene (Naomi) Chadwell, 55, Monticello, former Tipton resident were held at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Monticello Nov. 2 with burial in Oakland cemetery. She died at her home Oct. 30.

The daughter of Frank and Ella Maurer Emrich, she was born at Buchanan July 2, 1919. She attended the rural school there and graduated from Tipton high school. She was married to Gene Chadwell at Monticello July 6, 1938.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Stanley, Anamosa and Michael, Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mrs. William Kirchner, Clarence; 2 brothers, Orville, Muscatine and Everett, Ashland, N.J. and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David.
