November 7, 1974 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Floyd A. (Verna) Winekauf, 62, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Nov. 4 with the Rev. James Campbell officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Earl Anderson, Alvin Wright, Arnold Conrad, Frank Lovell, Irvin Burmeister and Max Phelps. Mrs. Max Phelps was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Krutsinger were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Winekauf died at her home east of Tipton Nov. 1 following a long illness.

The daughter of Wesley W. and Margaret A. Gaines Wagner, she was born near Tipton, July 11, 1912 and attended the rural Cedar county schools. She was married to Floyd A. Winekauf July 13, 1929.

Mrs. Winekauf is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Rose) Waltz and Mrs. Dave (Loretta) Shultz, both of Tipton; Mrs. Mary Andresen, Maquoketa; a son, Charles, Tipton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Leone Thurston and Mrs. Eugene Wiskus and a brother, Ernest Wagner, all of Tipton.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, 4 grandsons, a sister and 7 brothers.
