Funeral services for Harold Fred Kleppe, 62, Davenport, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Oct. 21 with the Rev. Dennis Lamont officiating. Burial was in Inland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Maynard Helmold, Edward and Marland Schott, Keith Kleppe, Merle Aikman and Thomas Hajek. Mrs. Merle Aikman and Mrs. Kenneth Lobdell were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mr. Kleppe died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, Oct. 17 following a stroke.

The son of Charles and Augusta Rixe Kleppe, he was born near Tipton, March 8, 1912 and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county. He was a retired farmer and nurseryman and had lived in Davenport for 28 years. He never married.

He is survived by 4 brothers, Harry, Sumner; Norman, Davenport; Edward, Mechanicsville and Carl, New Liberty; 6 sisters, Mrs. Wilbert (Ella) Helmond and Mrs. John (Helen) Graham, Tipton; Mrs. William (Dorothy) Raap, Davenport, Mrs. Russel (Irene) Hemerson, Bradgate; Mrs. Kenneth (Genevieve) Schott, Coggan and Mrs. Herbert (Laverna) Raap, Wheatland.
