October 17, 1974 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Mina Kroger, 84, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Oct. 14 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Memorial services were held by Helping Hand Rebekah lodge.

Pallbearers were Harold, Robert and Donald Hass, William Hass Jr., Douglas Meixner and Raymond Vitense. Mrs. Eleanor Swan was organist.

Mrs. Kroger died at Cedar Manor Oct. 12 following a long illness.

The daughter of Carl and Eva Hauf Hass, she was born near Tipton, March 12, 1890 and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county. She was married to Fred Kroger Feb. 22, 1911.

They farmed near Tipton until moving to Tipton in 1936. Mrs. Kroger was a practical nurse. She was a member of the United Methodist church, the Rebakah lodge and the Senior Citizens of Tipton.

Mrs. Kroger is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Margaret) Reuter, Tipton and a son, Harlan, Delmar; 2 brothers, Herman Hass, Tipton and William Hass, Mechanicsville, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
