Last rites for Mrs. Emil (Mamie Hilda) LaMaack, 70, were held at the Frick Funeral home, Durant, Oct. 15, with the Rev. Larry Willey officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Max Lauser was vocalist and Mrs. Viva Cook, organist.

Pallbearers were Donald and Allan Rathjen, Mike Moore, Larry Badtram, Donald Marks and Ronald Bierkamp.

The daughter of Christopher and Emma Harder Fick, she was born at Wilton, Dec. 13, 1903 and was educated in the rural schools of Muscatine county. She was married to Emil LaMaack at Davenport, Feb. 23, 1927.

The couple farmed in the Wilton and Durant area until moving to Durant in 1973. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of Durant.

Mrs. LaMaack is survived by her husband, a son, Herbert, Wilton; a brother, Herbert Fick, Wilton and 3 sisters, Mrs. Alvena LaMaack, Bennett; Mrs. Henry (Edna) Dall, Atalissa and Mrs. Hugo (Helen) Regennitter, Wilton; 3 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
