Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Walker, 66, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20 in the West Branch United Methodist church with the Rev. Max E. Paige officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight (Sept. 19) at the Barker funeral home in West Branch where friends may call.

Pallbearers are Henry W., Robert C., John S., Richard H., Keith D. and James F. Fields.

Mrs. Walker died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Sept. 17, following a short illness.

The daughter of Tom and Myrta Wirick Werling, she was born at Tipton. She had been employed as matron at the Cookson home for several years.

She was a member of The Methodist church, its WSCS, Juanita Chapter, OES and the Klatter club.

She is survived by 2 sons, Wayne, Iowa City and Carl, Union City, Calif.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Frieda Fields, Tipton and Mrs. Eva Lu Challis, Davenport; 3 brothers, Ralph Werling, Tipton; Forest Werling, Neenah, Wis., and Harold, Henderson, Ky.; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
