Funeral services for Dean Stafford, 67, will be held at the Springdale United Methodist church at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13 with the Rev. Max Paige officiating. Burial will be in the Springdale cemetery.

Pallbearers are James, Daniel and Michael Telsrow, Steve and Jerry Stafford and Dahl Umbdenstock. Mrs. Louise Clemmens was organist.

Mr. Stafford died at his home northeast of Springdale Sept.9, following an extended illness.

The son of Thomas and Connie Fells Stafford, he was born in Tennessee Nov. 20, 1906. He was married to Oldys Swalley in Iowa City June 12, 1928. He was a lifetime Cedar county farmer.

He is survived by his wife; 3 daughters, Mrs. Harold (Mary Louise) Telsrow, Durant; Mrs. Doyle (Elma) Woodcock, Littleton, Colo. and Mrs. Joe (Velma) Stiff, West Liberty; a son, Donald, West Branch; 3 sisters, Mrs. Maude Sedivec, and Mrs. Alice Umbdenstock, both of Iowa City and Mrs. Clara Anderson, Wilton; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
