Funeral services for Clarence H. Elliott, 78, a resident of Rochester for 13 years were held July 15, at the United Methodist church, Rochester. Gill Memorial Home, Wilton, was in charge.

Rev. Kehrli was the officiating minister. Sharon Stiff was the organist accompanying George Thordsen, vocalist. Casket bearers were Alfred Williams, Harold (Short) Conley, Fred Duffe, Lloyd Woods, Lester Drumbarger and Warren Christian. Floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Elsie Stiff and Mrs. Al Williams.

Mr. Elliott was born Feb. 3, 1896, in Hartington, Nebr. He married Wilma Kelting in 1917. She preceded him in death in 1959. He married Carolyn Jordan on May 8, 1960. In 1961 he retired and moved to Rochester.

He was of the Methodist faith and a retired millwright.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Gaylund L. Elliott, Davenport; two stepsons, Larry Jordan, Davenport and Roger Jordan, Massachusetts; two daughters, Mrs. Everrett (Geraldyne) Cronkite, West Lebanon, Ind., and Mrs. Elbert (Maurna Lou) Goscher, Davenport; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ray (Wanda) Mercer, Massachusetts and Mrs. Richard (Melba) Smtih, Florida; a brother, Sid Elliott, Laurel, Nebr.; two sisters, Mrs. H. A. (Eunice) Schager, Grand Island, Nebr., and Mrs. Ethel Nygard, South Gate, Calif.; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two brothers and three sisters.

Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery, Wheatland.
