Funeral services for Roy W. Kinyon, 86, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 19 at the Sheets and Son funeral home. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. today (July 18). Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery with military rites by the Tipton VFW and American Legion.

Mr. Kinyon died at the Utopia Nursing home July 15, following an extended illness.

He was born in Clinton, Mo., and married Ethel Porter in 1920 at Olin. She preceded him in death. He married Maude Lavelle in 1942 at Davenport. She preceded him in death.

He was a retired employee at Rock Island Arsenal and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elinor Cook, Davenport, a son, Kenneth, Iowa City; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Frances Garlick, Mrs. Florence Buckley and Mrs. Pauline Thumm, all of Tipton, and Mrs. Josephine Thomas, Galva, Ill., and 2 brothers, Charles, Monticello, Ind., and Denver, Davenport.
