Elmer Kline, 68, Mendota, Ill., died April 22 at noon in a hospital in Mendota, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held April 24 in Mendota, with burial in Dixon, Ill.

He was employed by the Illinois Gas and Electric Company for 35 years, retiring 2 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, the former Helen Eiler, a sister of Walter Eiler, Tipton; a son and 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Emma Kline and a brother, Lawrence of Clarence and 2 sisters, Mrs. Elmer Brendes, Tipton and Mrs. Don Robinson, Mechanicsville.
