Funeral services for Charles Allen Moffit, 39, were held at the First Presbyterian church, Mechanicsville, Feb. 24 with the Rev. James Aydelotte officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donald Pearson, Ernest Albaugh, Richard Baird, Grant Armstrong, Ronald Albaugh and Richard Dauber. Honorary pallbearers were Keith and Wallace Albaugh, Roland Herring, Bill Jones, Art Paul and Vernon Taylor. Mrs. Mary Littig was organist. Graveside services were held by the Busch-Dennis post of the American Legion.

Mr. Moffit died of cancer at his home in Mechanicsville Feb. 21.

The son of Maurice Brink and Mary Margaret Fisher Moffit, he was born at Mechanicsville July 8, 1934 and graduated from Mechanicsville high school.

He was married to Jacqueline Ann Horner in Mechanicsville July 27, 1957. At the time of his death he was employed in airport maintenance by the city of Cedar Rapids.

He served in the navy from October 1955 to 1959 as an engineman, 3rd class, including duty in the Far East in 1957. He was a member of First Presbyterian church.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Michael Kay and Dawn Elizabeth; his father, Maurice; a brother, John, all of Mechanicsville; a brother, William, Hartford, Conn.; a sister, Mrs. Thom (Janell) Ferneau, Okinawa and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
