Last rites for Roy M. Joslin, 83, prominent Dayton township farmer, were held at the United Methodist church in Clarence, Feb. 25, with the Rev. Donald Kehrli officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery.

Pallbearers were 6 grandsons, Steve, Mark, Dave and John Phillips and Howard and Dan Joslin.

Mr. Joslin died Feb. 23, following a long illness.

Born in Anamosa Jan. 14, 1891, he attended business college in Cedar Rapids and Minneapolis, Minn. He was a veteran of World War I.

Mr. Joslin was married to Verna Hazen at Denmark, Sept. 27, 1922.

He was a charter member of the Jones county Farm Bureau and served as president of the Farm Bureau in Jones county. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic lodge and the American Legion.

Mr. Joslin was a member of the United Methodist church in Clarence.

He was named a Master Swine producer in the 1940's and was active in a wide variety of agricultural organizations.

He is survived by 2 sons, Robert, Clarence, and Kenneth, Minburn; a daughter, Mrs. Earl Phillips, Iowa City and 11 grandchildren.
