Funeral services for Mrs. Carl (Bertha) Reece, 64, Iowa City, were held at the United Presbyterian church, Mechanicsville, Jan.8 with the Rev. John P. Woods, Westminster Presbyterian church, Cedar Rapids, officiating. Mrs. Reece died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Jan. 6.

The daughter of Herman and Minnie Moir Bock, she was born in Mechanicsville April 12, 1909 and was a graduate of Mechanicsville high school. She attended St. Luke's school of nursing, Cedar Rapids.

She was a member of Kings Daughters, the Iowa City Woman's club, Amasted circle and Westminster church, Cedar Rapids.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Richard E., Cedar Rapids and Don L., Iowa City; a daughter, Mrs. James (Ellen) Hymes, St. Louis, Mo. and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
