Funeral services for Mrs. Walter (Golda Mae) Kettler, 64, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Jan. 11 with the Rev. DeWayne Kirkeide officiating. Burial was in St. John cemetery, Clarence.

Pallbearers were Gene, J. Fred and James Mathias, Charles Mathias Jr., Jerry Mathias Jr. and Gerald Birkhoffer. Emil Licht was organist.

Mrs. Kettler died at Mercy hospital Jan.8 following a short illness.

The daughter of Jerry H. and Nettie F. Allan Mathias, she was born at Shelbyville, Ill., May 5, 1909 and was educated in the schools of Moultre county, Ill., and Cedar county. She was married to Walter C. Kettler at Stanwood June 30, 1931.

They made their home in the Clarence area until 1942 when they moved to Cedar Valley. She was a member of St. Paul's church, Stanwood.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Kenneth, 9 grandchildren and 2 brothers, John and Charles, both of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a half-sister and a half-brother.
