Funeral services for Frank Eugene Loomis, 79, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Dec. 20 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. The flag was presented at the cemetery by the Tipton post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Pallbearers were Marlin Howe, Ramond Rupe, Ernest Werling, Ed Parsons, Jim Lyle and Walter Fankhauser. Merrill Womach was vocalist.

Mr. Loomis died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Ruth) Mensink, Rushford, Minn. Dec. 16 following an extended illness.

The son of Eugene F. and Ida Welker Loomis, he was born at Omaha, Neb., Aug. 26, 1894. He was educated in the Omaha schools. Mr. Loomis was married to Esther Haynes at Clarence March 24, 1919. A retired farmer, he had been a resident of the Tipton area for 42 years.

He was a veteran of World War, having served as a private first class in the army in World War I. He was a member of the Tipton VFW Post 2537.

Mr. Loomis is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mensink, Rushford, Minn.; 2 grandsons, a sister, Mrs. Violet Linquist and a brother, Joseph, both of Sioux City and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister and 4 brothers.
