Funeral services for Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth Mae) Hartog, 81, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Nov. 14 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were L. W., Elmer and Alfred Meyer, Roger Timm, Henry Dircks and W. A. Hobstetter. Mrs. Roger Timm and Mrs. Floyd Rife were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Hartog died at Cedar Manor Nov. 10 following a long illness.

The daughter of Rufus and Mary Fries Lock, she was born in Davenport May 15, 1882 and was educated in the Davenport schools. She was married to Walter Hartog in Davenport Nov. 28, 1911.

Mrs. Hartog has been a resident of Tipton since 1922. She and her husband operated the bakery now operated by Mr. and Mrs. Roger Timm, with their son, Gerald operating it after the Hartogs retired. She was member of the United Methodist church.

Mrs. Hartog is survived by her son, Gerald. She was preceded in death by her husband.
