Funeral services for Howard C. Snyder, 76, a native of Tipton, were held in Davenport Oct. 12 with burial in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Mr. Snyder died in a Davenport hospital Oct. 9, following a one-day illness.

He was born in Tipton Dec. 13, 1897 and was married to Bernice Lenninger Aug. 13, 1932 in Ottumwa. They lived in Washington, Ia. for 20 years and Durant for 20 years, prior to retiring 3 years ago when the couple moved to Davenport. He was an army veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. William (Gail) Diage, Studio City, Calif., Mrs. Herbert (Darlene) Sitz, Bettendorf and a son, Charles H. of Redding, Pa. He has 8 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
