Last rites for Arnold A. Zimmer, 89, were held at the Dye Funeral home Oct. 8 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in Inland cemetery near Bennett.

Pallbearers were Louis Cook, Bud Shotwell, Herman Hass, Max Crawford, Darrell Blayney and Don Wehde. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mr. Zimmer died at a West Branch rest center following a long illness.

The son of Frederick H. and Sophia Mumme Zimmer, he was born in Des Moines county near Augusta May 3, 1884. He was married to Mable C. Willey Oct. 30, 1932.

A former resident of Des Moines and Fairfield he was a machinist. He moved to Tipton in 1955.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Martha Mungoven, Ottumwa; a niece, Delores Shindler, St. Louis, Mo. and a nephew, Ted Pearce, Chicago, Ill. He was preceded in death by his wife May 9, 1970 and a brother.
