Last rites for Roy Berg, 64, former West Branch city employee, were held at the West Branch Friends church Oct. 6 with the Rev. Edward English officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Berg died at a hospital in San Diego, Calif. Sept. 5.

The son of Gilbert and Louise Sandford Berg, he was born at Fargo, N.D. Jan. 3, 1909. He was employed by the town of West Branch for many years.

Surviving are 5 sons, Roy Jr., Oxford; Clarence, Iowa City; Harry, Oak Forest, Ill.; Thomas, Omaha, Neb. and Gilbert, Yorba Linda, Calif.; 2 daughters, Evelyn and Mrs. Dorothy Carney, West Branch; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Krashers, Ada, Minn. and Evelyn Berg, Fargo, N.D.

A brother and grandson preceded him in death.
