Last rites for James Oliver Endsley, 69, were held at the West Branch United Methodist church Sept. 29 with the Rev. Max E. Paige officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Endsley died at his home Sept. 26, following an extended illness.

The son of Gordon and Gussie Selby Endsley, he was born at West Branch June 12, 1904. He was married to March Koch in West Branch Aug. 17, 1939.

He farmed all his life in the West Branch area and was a 50-year member of the West Branch United Methodist church. He also belonged to the West Branch Sportsman's club.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Gail Elizabeth, Davenport; 4 sisters, Mrs. Amy Geyer, Fort Madison, Dorothy Endsley, Long Beach Calif., Mrs. Winifred Lowe, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Lois Lehman, Fort Worth, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
