Last rites for Mrs. Mary Francis Rickard, 91, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Sept. 10 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Archibald Safley, Harold Hass, Harold Wehde, Ernest Bolton, Vernon Beckman and W. A. Hobstetter.

Mrs. Rickard died at the Utopia nursing home Sept. 7.

The daughter of Conrad and Elizabeth Marquart Hobstetter, she was born at Tipton Dec. 26, 1881. She attended the Tipton schools. She was married to Cyrus Rickard Oct. 4, 1905 in Tipton.

She had made her home in Tipton for 25 years.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bernice R. Sharp, Pleasant Valley; 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Mearl (Marvel) Woode, Tipton; Mrs. Paul (Clarice) Buchmeyer, Iowa City and Robert Rickard, Hinsdale, Ill. and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
